Tools such as fliker, picasa, facebook, myspace, yahoo, gmail, and many others has made my life and my computers life so much easier. It is so nice to be able to download work and photos to the cloud-based system through the internet. My hard drive is now empty and more sufficient. Being able to pull up personal information on any computer at any place is just one of the many perks of cloud computing. I do also see great benefits for use in libraries. Blackberries and iphones are excellent ways to pull up your information via the “cloud.” Everything you need is just right there in the palm of you hand. Most libraries now also provide free internet service, which you can also use to pull up all your data through cloud computing. All questions on books or reference are answered immediately. It is so simple. Yes, it may take some practice and getting used to, but it is all worth it in the end. So, with all of this said, I am very excited about this method of cloud computing.
